health sciences faculty !!!
Today I'll write about the place where I spend most of my time
Medicine Faculty of the University of Chile.
First of all think faculty should be named "health science faculty" becouse there is another seven carreers apart from medicine in this faculty, anyway I think this will neverbe changed because almost all profesors and students are from this carreer.
In my opinion a think this faculty is very beautiful despite is old and smells like a hospital.
Oviusly can't be compared with San Juaquin Campus of Catholic University, because our university is state-owned, and don't handle amounts of money like private universitys.
But there are some failtures that can't be ignored, like there's never toilet paper in the toilets, almost half of library computers are "in maintenance", and there are very few parking for students. I think this problems are simples and easy to sort out, but there is a big problem that afects us all. I say its a big problem because happend to me and it was very unpleasant.
In this faculty, unlike others, when you fail a course, despite it be six-monthly, you miss all the year becouse you have to wait until the next year and take it with new classmates. So you end up missing a full year for a course that really only lasted 6 months and , eventually, you lose your teammates of your initial course.
I think this is problem, that affected a lot of students in this faculty, could be sort out with a simple measure, give the posibility to take the curse next semester, or give the curse as a summer intensive in janury, thus we don't waste our time and money, becouse full year is much more expensive than a semester or a summer course.
Well, I said the problem and my possible solution, so that all!

Hello people who read my blog!
Today I will talk about my preferred hobbie. Dancing
I started practicing dance from an early age, at 7, in a ballet workshop at school. At that time I did not have much elongation and I was not outstanding, so after two years I was bored of the workshop and I thought the teacher was too strict, so I left classes.
In 5th grade, I took modern dance curse in school, which was very demanding but not so strictest such as ballet, and although I was not the best dancer of the group I was 3 years striving there.
But it was in 2003 when I began dancing as a professional, when I entered to Valero dance studio. At first I took a few Jazz Style classes, but over the years I was getting excited more and more with dance and when I was in the 11th grade in school I had improved a lot and I was invited to be part of the Valero company, so I had to practice and rehearse almost every day.
To be a dancer you have to have:
- good elongation in your legs.
- good memory
- interpretation
- musicality
- good hips rotation
- fluid movements.
But in dance doesen't matter if you don't have the technique or skills, because dance is 99% effort and 1% talent.
I learned a lot, but the most important is that I realized that to achieve what you want, there is hard work to do and suffer if is necessary (it pained me a lot improve my elongation), I learned to be responsible, punctual and constant, because ballet teachers are very strict, I learned to respect my teachers and classmates, I made very good friends and learned to overcome the shame of ridicule.
I think all this helped me to be the person that i`m now, but specially to trust my self.
That all i hope you liked it!

Vacations !!!
Today I will tell a little about my last vacation and what I would like to do in the coming.
Well, the holiday 2009 was incredible because I went to many new and interesting places .
Then I went to a couple of beaches located on the central coast, Maitencillo and Guaylandia, the second going from a very young age so I reacquainted with many childhood friends
In February, I went with colleagues from the university to Florianópilis, Brazil. There we stayed at the house of a colleague who lived there before coming to study in Chile so we met his family and friends and she always had a plan and knew where to go and what we needed to know.
In Brazil, we traveled to Camboriu, a nearby town, and stayed there for 3 days, staying with friends of my companion. Was a great experience.
What I remember most of Brasil is the Carnival, and although not as big as the Rio Carnival is great fun because all men are on the street dressed as women (whether or not gays) to dance and have a excellent time.
In the summer of 2009 I spent a lot of money and I had incredible, I think it's very difficult to match so I don’t think out of chile in 2010, but there are many places in my country that I don’t know and I'd love to know such as Torres del Paine.
I am told that is a very beautiful place but I think it is expensive and don´t know where I could host.
I will probably go like every year to Guaylandia central coast beach, which is a delightful place where is a family atmosphere.

transport
Today I will talk about of the transport system that was implemented in January 2007 : The TRANSANTIAGO.
This new system divided our city into 10 zones, to order the operation of transport services that connect the neighborhoods of the city.
In each area there are feeder buses that connect with the metro and "troncal" buses which is moved throughout the city.
The system at its inception did not work properly because the frequency with buses passing was very inconsistent and you had to make multiple transfers.
Time passed, the transport ministry has tried to fix these problems, and covered others that have emerged, such as lack of travel in certain areas of the city. Despite the improvements, users are left with the impression from the beginning, and have continued to criticize the government.
I think this system is a long term project, because it involves a socialcultural change in the population, and people is not accustomed to this change, and don't understand that must spend time to make the project evolve.
Comparing the pre-transantiago system, with now, I think some changes have occurred:
- The flow of people in subways, has increased because people did not trust in the frequency of buses on the surface (still don't and that's why the subway is so stifling)
- The buses are slower, this is because they can't move with the doors open, increasing our security.
- Bip card system has made the public transport more expeditious and inexpensive, because you do not have to pay every time you step on a bus or subway.
- The system is safer, because drivers do not carry money, lowering delinquency.
I think Transantiago need to implement a GPS system to coordinate the frequency of buses, which is the problem still persists, thus one could know exactly what time the buses pass by your stop . I also believe it would be good to implement a few tours that were very useful in the system of "yellow buses", which were deleted.
Well that's all folks! I go to take the bus back to my house.
